There will be 1,000 Mustangs at Woodward this year, but only one of these 50 Year Edition convertibles, which will be given to one lucky winner in a raffle on Saturday

It’s only natural that in the fiftieth anniversary year of the Ford Mustang, it would have a significant presence at an annual event named for it. This year’s Mustang Alley at Woodward Dream Cruise will see more than 1,000 classic Mustangs from the last half-century gathered at 9 Mile Road in Ferndale. Given the expected turnout, it sounds like they’re going to need every last inch of those 9 miles to contain all of that pony car goodness.

In addition to the normal proceedings at Mustang Alley and the presence of around 1,000 Mustangs at Woodward, Ford Group Vice President of Global Product Development Raj Nair and Mustang Chief Engineer Dave Pericak will be on hand for the raffle of a 2015 Mustang 50 Years Limited Edition Convertible, which will be held at 5:30 pm on Saturday. The 50 Years Limited Edition Convertible is a one-of-a-kind piece, and the the proceeds from the raffle will go to fund the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s No Opportunity Wasted research project. Tickets will be available online at www.ford4ms.com up until the 5:30 drawing.
