The day has arrived, and so has the 1985 DeLorean DMC-12, Doc Brown version, with all the futuristic looks of the original DMC-12 mixed with an advanced hybrid Mr. Fusion Flux Capacitor System.
The 1985 DeLorean DMC-12 Doc Brown comes in only one trim, with an option to add a hovercraft lift system.

For the Doc Brown edition of the DeLorean DMC-12, the car has added a number of features, such as an expanded overhead control board, a 1.21 gigawatt Flux Capacitor connected to a rear-mounted Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor.
In addition, the Doc Brown DMC-12 comes with gull-wing doors, Remote Control Compatibility, and an optional boy sidekick (not, under any circumstances, to be called chicken).

Like all other DMC-12s, the Doc Brown features a stainless steel exterior, but in addition the Doc Brown has a thruster body kit connected to the flux capacitor/Mr. Fusion system, which includes artistically- and functionally-placed tubing and wiring. And, as with other DMC-12 models, the Doc Brown has the same famous gull-wing doors.

The Doc Brown is powered by a reverse-hybrid system. At most speeds, it is powered by a 2.85-liter V6, which delivers 155 hp and 173 lb-ft of torque through a five-speed manual transmission. However, once the Doc Brown reaches 88 mph, on comes the 1.21-gigawatt Flux Capacitor and Mr Fusion Home Energy Reactor, at which point, we are told, we see some serious stuff.

The Doc Brown’s V6 gets a respectable 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The Mr Fusion Home Energy Reactor (and Flux Capacitor), though, is simply powered by household waste.

The interior of the Doc Brown doesn’t resemble a car so much as it resembles a cockpit. The dashboard is fitted with advanced time monitoring systems, as well as a stylish analog clock, steering-wheel-mounted control, leather seats, and a clear panel over the Flux capacitor.

The DeLorean DMC-12 was originally named the DeLorean Safety Vehicle, and was designed for safety. A stainless-steel exterior will certainly hold up well to a collision with your typical 21st-century vehicle.
