2013 BMW 5 Series Exterior
The BMW 5 Series is mid-size luxury at its finest. Standard equipment on the base model 528i includes 17-inch wheels, adjustable driving settings, automatic and adaptive bi-xenon headlights, LED running lights, fog lights, automatic wipers, heated mirrors, a sunroof, cruise control, auto-dimming mirrors, and keyless entry and ignition. Upgraded trims offer even more standard options.
2013 BMW 5 Series Performance
The 5 Series has never been just a good-looking car. BMW is known for performance and the 5 Series is certainly no exception. The 528i is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder, producing 240 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel-drive is standard on all 5 Series, and the 528i has an eight-speed automatic transmission, with an automatic stop-start function which shuts down the transmission to save fuel at stoplights. Upgrade to higher level trims, and see even more power and versatility.

2013 BMW 5 Series Efficiency
BMW estimates fuel economy to be 24 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined for a 5 Series with rear-wheel-drive, and 22 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined for an all-wheel-drive.
2013 BMW 5 Series Interior
The interior of any 5 Series screams luxury. At a minimum, you’ll see dual-zone automatic climate control, eight-way power front seats, driver memory functions, premium leatherette vinyl upholstery, split-folding rear seats, and a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The cabin is impressive, with a clean design and plenty of space for 2 adults in the backseat.

2013 BMW 5 Series Safety
Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, traction and stability control, front-seat side airbags, active front head restraints and side curtain airbags. Beyond the standard safety features, BMW offers some impressive optional and upgrade features such as a pre-collision warning system, lane departure warning system, blind spot monitor, and night vision system.
In government crash tests, the 5 Series earns the highest rating of five stars, and a top rating of “Good” in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests.
