What’s New for the 2013 Buick Enclave

The 2013 Buick Enclave sees some significant updates for 2013, with changes to exterior styling, interior design and quality, suspension tuning and plenty of new features added. Buick’s new InteliLink electronics interface has also been added.

2013 Buick Enclave Exterior

The Buick Enclave is a full-size crossover SUV that comes in just one trim level, but offers three different equipment groups. The base Enclave (the Convenience Group) comes with 18-inch wheels, automatic xenon headlights, a power lift gate, heated mirrors, rear privacy glass, rear parking sensors, and a remote ignition.
The Leather Group adds 19-inch wheels, a blind-spot warning system, and cross traffic alert, while the Premium Group adds adaptive headlights, and auto-dimming and power-folding mirrors.
Other exterior options include 20-inch wheels and a sunroof with rear glass roof panels.

The Enclave comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 which produces 288 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel-drive are standard.

EPA estimated fuel economy is 19 mpg combined with front-wheel-drive, and 18 mpg with all-wheel-drive.

2013 Buick Enclave Interior

The Enclave is the most spacious crossover SUV available for both people and cargo, having the impressive capability to seat seven adults comfortably and still provide 23 cubic feet of cargo room behind the third row.

The interior is constructed of materials that look and feel high-end, but come with an affordable price tag. GM’s InteliLink interface is intuitive and practical, with a large touchscreen and menu icons that can be arranged how you want them.

Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, traction and stability control, front outboard side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and a rearview camera. OnStar also comes standard, providing automatic crash notification, on-demand roadside assistance, an emergency button, remote door unlock, and stolen vehicle locator.

Additional safety features of the Leather and Premium Groups include blind-spot and cross-traffic back-up warning systems.

In government crash tests, the Enclave has earned the highest rating of five stars and the best possible rating of “Good” from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety, making this one of the most spacious, safe, and practical family crossovers available.
