2013 Chevrolet Corvette Overview

2013 Chevrolet Corvette

What’s New for the 2013 Chevy Corvette

For the 2013 model year, the new 427 Convertible Collector Edition joins the ranks of the Corvette lineup, while a 60th Anniversary Design Package adds unique styling elements to the model of your choice. The base model and the Grand Sport both now have available black-painted wheels and a ZR1-style rear spoiler.

2013 Chevy Corvette Exterior

There’s no denying that the 2013 Chevy Corvette has the type of sex appeal that just can’t be ignored. Its low-riding stance and crisp bodylines, along with the streamlined body make it sexier than any woman who’s graced the cover of Maxim, reinforcing the fact that it will turn heads wherever it goes.

2013 Chevy Corvette Performance

While all 2013 Chevy Corvette’s come standard with a six-speed manual transmission and launch control, the engine changes depending on the model. For the base model and the Grand Sport, a 6.2-liter V8 cranks out 430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque. These models are also available with a six-speed automatic transmission.

For the Zo6 and 427, a 7.0-liter V8 is the engine of choice, churning out a robust 505 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. All higher-performance Corvettes are only available with a six-speed manual. The final engine option comes with the ZR1. It’s a supercharged version of the 6.2-liter V8 that has the most power with 638 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of torque.

2013 Chevy Corvette Efficiency

EPA-estimated fuel economy for the 6.2-liter comes in around 19 mpg combined, though the automatic transmission lowers it 1 mpg. The V8 comes in around the same with 18 mpg combined, while the ZR1’s supercharged V6 gets the lowest mpg with 17 combined.

2013 Chevy Corvette Interior

While the interior doesn’t exactly blow you away when you sit down in the driver’s seat, it does provide the perfect balance of function and roominess, which is rare in a sports car. The front seats provide optimum support, while the large gauges are easy to see and the cargo capacity blows the rest of its competitors out of the water.

2013 Chevy Corvette Safety

Standard safety features for the 2013 Chevrolet Corvette include antilock brakes, stability and traction control, and side airbags, along with GM’s OnStar emergency communication system.
