What’s New for the 2013 Chevrolet Sonic

2013 brings some exciting additions to the Chevrolet Sonic. Bluetooth phone connectivity and blind-spot mirrors are now standard, and the option for Chevrolet’s MyLink infotainment system is available.

The Chevrolet Sonic is a cute little car that comes either as a 2-door hatchback or a 4-door sedan, both equally appealing. This car not only has unique styling, but is also solid quality; making it a car you’ll enjoy bustling around town in.

The base-level Sonic LS comes standard with 15-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, OnStar, a blind-spot mirror, power locks, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, keyless entry, air-conditioning, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and an auxiliary audio jack.

The 2013 Sonic comes standard with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that cranks out a decent 138 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque.

Standard safety features include traction and stability control, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, integrated blind spot mirrors, front knee airbags, and OnStar. The LS, LT and LTZ have antilock brakes with front discs and rear drums, and the RS has discs in the front and rear.

In government crash tests, the Sonic earns the highest rating of five stars, as well as the Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
