What’s New for the 2013 Ford Fusion?

The 2013 Ford Fusion is redesigned with more dramatic styling, better fuel economy, and MyFord Touch technology.

2013 Ford Fusion Exterior

The 2013 Ford Fusion took styling to another level for the 2nd generation of the model. The elegant poise, curvaceous sheet metal, and wider body give it a sportier and more upscale look than its predecessor. It’s also got that large trapezoidal grille in the front makes it look more like an Aston Martin than the average 5-door sedan you’ll come across on the road.

2013 Ford Fusion Performance

The 2013 Ford Fusion S and SE come standard a 2.5-liter four-cylinder producing 175 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. The SE also offers two additional engines: a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 178 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 240 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The Fusion Titanium comes standard with the latter.

2013 Ford Fusion Efficiency

The 2013 Ford Fusion’s base engine gets 22 mpg city/34 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined. The 1.6-liter gets 22/34/26 with the standard automatic transmission, 23/36/28 with engine stop-start technology, and 25/37/29 with the manual six-speed. The 2.0-liter gets 22/33/26 with FWD and 22/32/25 with AWD.

2013 Ford Fusion Interior

The 2013 Ford Fusion features a stylish interior with high quality materials, an uncluttered and tastefully designed dashboard and center stack, and a highly adjustable power driver seat that allows anyone to get comfortable behind the wheel. Though headroom and outward visibility has been improved, trunk space has been reduced ever slightly. However, it still stands at 16 cubic feet—higher than average for the class.

2013 Ford Fusion Safety

The 2013 Ford Fusion comes standard with antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, front seat side airbags, front knee airbags, and side curtain airbags. It was named a Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS, the highest possible honor, and received a maximum 5-star score for Overall Vehicle Safety in the NHTSA’s New Car Assessment Program.
