2013 Honda Accord Sedan Overview

2013 Honda Accord Sedan

What’s New for the 2013 Honda Accord Sedan?

The Honda Accord Sedan is all-new for the 2013 model year, featuring a stronger, more fuel-efficient engine and a roomier interior.

2013 Honda Accord Sedan Exterior

The 2013 Honda Accord Sedan gains more curves as well as a tweaked front and rear end. It looks just like the classic Accords of old but with modern touches like LED exterior lights, a honeycomb grille, and even dual exhaust pipes and a spoiler for customers seeking that slightly more aggressive look.

2013 Honda Accord Sedan Performance

The 2013 Honda Accord Sedan offers two gasoline engines and three transmissions. The base engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder producing 185 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque via either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic. The optional engine is a 3.5-liter Earth Dreams V6 producing 278 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque via a six-speed automatic. Both the four-cylinder and V6 are notably strong for the segment, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.5 seconds and 6.1 seconds, respectively.

2013 Honda Accord Sedan Efficiency

The base engine gets 28 mpg combined (24 mpg city/34 mpg highway) with the standard transmission. With the CVT automatic, that number goes up to 30 mpg combined (27 mpg city/36 mpg highway). The 3.5-liter V6 is also impressively economical given its power output with an EPA rating of 25 mpg combined (21 mpg city/34 mpg highway).

2013 Honda Accord Sedan Interior

The 2013 Honda Accord Sedan interior features soft-touch materials that help it feel more upscale than the cost might suggest. The seats are comfortable and supportive and there is a surprising amount of legroom and headroom in the back considering the car’s relatively small exterior proportions. Road visibility is high in the driver’s seat, as is the ease of use of the audio and navigation system.

2013 Honda Accord Sedan Safety

The 2013 Honda Accord Sedan comes standard with antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, active front head restrains, front seat side airbags, and side curtain airbags. It also offers lane-departure warning and forward-collision warning on upper trim levels as well as the very useful LaneWatch blind-spot system, which switches the 8-inch display to a wide view of the passenger side of the car when the turn signal is engaged.
