2013 Honda Crosstour

What’s New for the 2013 Honda Crosstour?

The 2013 Honda Crosstour comes with revised exterior styling, upgraded interior materials, and the HondaLink infotainment system.

2013 Honda Crosstour Exterior

The 2013 Honda Crosstour is an odd cross between a sedan and an SUV, with a large, sloping rear end that could be mistaken as belonging on a station wagon. Its unusual proportions and over-the-top styling cues can make it as appealing to some as unattractive to others, but they go a long way toward making the Crosstour feel like a sedan when it comes to driving, and like an SUV when it comes to packing.

2013 Honda Crosstour Performance

The 2013 Honda Crosstour offers two engines: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder producing 192 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, and a 3.5-liter V6 producing 278 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. The former uses a five-speed automatic transmission, while the latter uses a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

2013 Honda Crosstour Efficiency

The 2013 Honda Crosstour V6 uses Variable Cylinder Management to seamlessly deactivate up to three cylinders depending on driving demands. This helps it get 20 mpg city/30 mpg highway with FWD and 19/29 with AWD, while the four-cylinder gets 22/31.

2013 Honda Crosstour Interior

The 2013 Honda Crosstour is very similar to the 8th-generation Accord, and understandably so: the car itself is based on the best-selling sedan. This means high-quality materials, tight construction, and an attractive center stack. What the Accord doesn’t offer, however, is 25.7-cubic-feet of cargo area with reversible floor panels behind the 60/40-split rear seats, and 51.3-cubic-feet of cargo capacity with those seats folded flat.

2013 Honda Crosstour Safety

The 2013 Honda Crosstour comes standard with antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags, and front-seat head restraints. Forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning are available on the EX-L model. It received a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for receiving the highest possible score of “Good” in all crash tests.
