2013 Honda Odyssey Overview

What’s New for the 2013 Honda Odyssey?

The 2013 Honda Odyssey now comes standard with a rear backup camera, Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity, and a USB port.

2013 Honda Odyssey Exterior

The 2013 Honda Odyssey has received several design upgrades that simultaneously improve its aerodynamics while reducing wind nose. It has a low, wide appearance with angular lines in the sheet metal and a stylish “lightning bolt” side beltline. It still looks a little boxy, but now with more panache.

2013 Honda Odyssey Performance

The 2013 Honda Odyssey doesn’t go out of its way to confuse you with engine choices: a 3.5-liter V6 is the only one it offers. It produces 248 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque to the wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission. The Touring trim gets a 6-speed automatic. Properly equipped, the Odyssey can tow up to 3,500 pounds.

2013 Honda Odyssey Efficiency

The 2013 Honda Odyssey uses Variable Cylinder Management to improve efficiency by shutting off cylinders during light-load driving. It gets 18 mpg city/27 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined with the 5-speed and 19/28/22 with the 6-speed.

The 2013 Honda Odyssey can accommodate up to eight passengers, none of which are likely to call shotgun thanks to the ultra-wide rear entertainment system with 5.1 Surround Sound audio and an HDMI port for consoles. It comes with a nifty “Magic Seat” system that makes folding the third-row seats into the floor easy and effortless compared to other cars.

2013 Honda Odyssey Safety

The 2013 Honda Odyssey comes standard with antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, active front head restraints, front seat side-impact airbags, and side-curtain airbags that cover all three rows. It received a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the best-possible 5-star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
