2014 Hyundai Elantra Overview

What’s New for the 2013 Hyundai Elantra

While the 2013 Hyundai Elantra remains mostly unchanged, coupe and hatchback body styles have been added to the car’s lineup.

2013 Hyundai Elantra Exterior

Normally, you might expect a sedan to be more practically than stylish—this is not the case with the 2013 Elantra. At first glance, the slow, sleek profile hints at athleticism you wouldn’t expect from a compact sedan, while the crisp body lines and subtle curves make it appear as if the Elantra is constantly in motion, creating a sporty option that looks like luxury, without the luxury price tag.

2013 Hyundai Elantra Performance

Each 2013 Hyundai Elantra is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 148 horsepower and 131 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel-drive is standard, along with a six-speed manual, though a six-speed automatic is optional and standard on the Limited sedan.

2013 Hyundai Elantra Interior

In the cabin of the 2013 Elantra, a curved dashboard design highlights the modern, clean-cut center stack that allows passengers to stay connected with an available, easy-to-use touchscreen and simple controls. While the front seat offers plenty of room for passengers and drivers of all shapes and sizes, the back seat can be a mixed bag of sorts, with a lack of head room and an abundance of legroom creating a bit of a pickle for those passengers who tend to be on the tall side.

2013 Hyundai Elantra Safety

According to government crash testing, the 2013 Elantra is worthy of a five out of five star rating for overall crash protection, while the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the Elantra their top score of “Good” for its performance in frontal-offset, side-impact, and roof-strength tests.

Antilock disc brakes, stability and tractions control, active front head restraints, front seat side-impact airbags, and side curtain airbags are all standard safety features for the 2013 Hyundai Elantra.
