Limited and all four-wheel-drive Compasses come standard with a larger 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 172 hp and 165 lb-ft of torque.

The 2.4-liter four-cylinder achieves 23 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined with the manual front-wheel drive. Expect fuel efficiency to drop a bit if you choose the four-wheel-drive and CVT models.
