2013 Chevrolet Malibu overview

What’s New for the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu

The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu has been completely redesigned, bringing a new level of refinement and efficiency with it. Let’s just say that Chevrolet has upped the ante.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu Exterior

The Chevrolet Malibu is a four-door family sedan. 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, and keyless entry come standard on the entry-level LS. Upgrade to an LT and get heated mirrors, remote start, 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, and a compact spare tire (depending on the level LT you choose). The LTZ is the top-of-the-line trim, but adds no additional exterior upgrades.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu Performance

The Malibu comes standard with a 2.5-liter four cylinder engine that produces 197 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. If you’re looking for a more powerful Malibu, check out the 2.0-liter turbo engine which produces 259 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu Efficiency

The EPA estimated fuel economy is 26 mpg combined city and highway for all Malibu trims, except the Eco. The available Eco model earns a slightly better 29 mpg combined – however, we don’t think it’s worth what you’ll lose in power.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu Interior

The Malibu’s interior updates have made the greatest overall impact. Now wider and offering more shoulder and hip room, the Malibu is car mid-size car you can get your family into, comfortably. Also worth noting is the well organized cockpit with Chevy’s MyLink touchscreen display, upgraded materials, and plenty of sound deadening, making this truly an enjoyable ride.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu Safety

Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, traction and stability control, front knee airbags, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, rear side airbags, and OnStar.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has awarded the Malibu with the Top Safety Pick.
