What’s New for the 2014 Audi A5

The 2014 model year means a bit more horsepower for the Audi A5, while new standard features, such as Bluetooth, have been added. The Premium Plus trim also received standard keyless ignition and entry, while an optional Black Optic appearance package makes its debut.

If you’re looking for a bit more freedom than the Coupe offers, the A5 even comes in a convertible option, called the Cabriolet body style. This power-operated soft top opens the cabin to the outside world with easy, taking only 15 seconds to raise or lower.

A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that boasts 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque powers every 2014 Audi A5. A standard six-speed manual transmission and all-wheel-drive come standard in all Coupe models, while the A5 Cabriolets—a.k.a convertibles—come with a standard continuously variable transmission and front-wheel-drive, though all-wheel-drive is an option.

Depending on the package chosen, there are also a number of safety systems offered, such as the standard blind-spot monitoring system and adaptive cruise conrol in the Prestige package.
