2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid Overview

What’s New for the 2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid

The updates for the 2014 Q5 Hybrid are only seen in equipment changes throughout the various trim levels.

2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid Exterior

With its sedan-like looks and sporty crossover performance, the 2014 Q5 Hybrid creates an exterior that reflects its ability to provide anyone with performance, practicality, and luxury. Streamlined, aerodynamic lines create a profile that allows for optimal fuel efficiency, while the convenience of a crossover-like body makes sure you have plenty of room for everything you need. Add the beautiful, characteristic Audi grille, and you’ve got one of the greatest luxury compact crossovers on the market.

2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid Performance

For power, the Q5 Hybrid takes the standard turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine, which normally gets 220 horsepower, and combines it with an electric motor and battery pack, enabling it to provide a total of 245 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. According to Audi, this means the hybrid car can reach 60 mph from a standstill in 6.8 seconds.

2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid Efficiency

The EPA-estimated fuel mileage stands at 26 mpg combined, not extremely high for a hybrid, but the power you receive from the hybrid powertrain can’t be beat.

2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid Interior

“Classy” is the key word when it comes to the Q5 Hybrid’s cabin, with high-end materials and top-notch construction coming together to create a comfortable, luxurious atmosphere the moment you sit down. The center stack controls are driver-oriented, changing depending on whether or not you choose to include the navigation system to make everything easier. For such a compact car, the roominess of the interior is surprising whether you’re in the front or rear with rear seats that slide forward and backward.

2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid Safety

While the 2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid hasn’t been tested itself, the Q5 2.0T, which is the traditionally powered Q5, was tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and was awarded the highest rating of “Good” in the moderate-overlap frontal-offset, side-impact, and roof strength tests. Standard safety features include stability and traction control, front side airbags and side curtain airbags, with optional rear side airbags and a standard blind-spot monitoring system.
