2014 Audi Q5 Overview

What’s New for the 2014 Audi Q5

For the 2014 model year, the Q5 has seen a few updates to its powertrain including a powerful turbodiesel model and an increase in power to the 2.0T base model. Other than that, the updates are seen only in equipment changes in the various trim levels.

2014 Audi Q5 Exterior

While it might look like the typical luxury car from the front, the 2014 Q5 has the rear of a crossover SUV and a fine one at that. Sharp lines and a bold grille create an aggressive, slightly rugged façade that is difficult to look away from. An available panoramic sunroof makes it easy to bring the outside in, while the aluminum roof rails reminds everyone that this luxury looking crossover belongs off-road, too.

2014 Audi Q5 Performance

The standard 2014 Audi Q5 comes with all-wheel drive and a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that turns out a healthy 220 horsepower. Those looking for a bit more power can check out the 3.0T model with a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that boasts 272 ho or the 3.0 TDI, which features a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel V6 with 240 hp. There’s also an option for those looking to be eco-friendly—the Q5 Hybrid, which pairs the 2.0T’s engine with an electric motor and batter pack to provide 245 horsepower.

2014 Audi Q5 Efficiency

If you choose the base 2.0T, you can expect to get an EPA-estimated 23 mpg combined, while the optional 3.0T stands at 21 mpg combined. The turbocharged diesel engine offers the highest fuel economy for the car with a surprising 27 mpg combined, while the Hybrid option comes in second with 26 mpg combined.

2014 Audi Q5 Interior

Classy is the Q5’s middle name, with an interior design that is top-notch. Designers seem to have kept the driver in mind with center stack controls within easy reach and the Audi Multi Media Interface that keeps everyone connected, no matter where they are. The interior craftsmanship is one of the best in class, while the backseat provides more than enough room to make sure everyone is comfortable.

2014 Audi Q5 Safety

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the 2014 Q5 is an extremely safe vehicle with the highest rating of “Good” in moderate-overlap frontal-offset, side-impact, and roof strength tests.
