2014 Audi SQ5 Overview

2014 Audi SQ5 Exterior

While the SQ5 doesn’t look much different than the Q5, its slower sibling, the streamlined, sculpted lines create a very sporty silhouette that reflects its high-performance nature. The integrated tailgate spoiler and quad exhaust outlets with polished tips add a bit more athletic look to the crossover.

2014 Audi SQ5 Performance

The 2014 SQ5 is the existing Q5’s more performance oriented cousin and it shows in the SQ5’s powertrain. Instead of the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that powers the Q5, the SQ5 has a supercharged 3.0-liter V6, which pumps out 354 horsepower and 346 lb-ft or torque, a significant improvement. It also comes standard with all-wheel-drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission, which helps it reach 60 mph from a standstill in just 5.1 seconds.

2014 Audi SQ5 Efficiency

With power comes pretty low fuel economy, with the 2014 SQ5 getting an EPA-estimated 18 mpg combined.

2014 Audi SQ5 Interior

Inside the cabin of the 2014 SQ5, sportiness and class come together to make an interesting, unique interior. Similar to the Q5, the SQ5 has luxurious materials, but with a few special touches—a flat-bottom steering wheel with shift paddles, simulated suede trim, a beautiful leather/aluminum shift knob, and prominent “SQ5” badges.

2014 Audi SQ5 Safety

Though the SQ5 hasn’t undergone the crash test gauntlet itself, its slower variant, the Q5, received the highest possible rating of “Good” from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety. It comes with standard stability and traction control, front side airbags, and side curtain airbags with rear side airbags optional. A blind-spot monitoring system is optional on the Premium Plus trim level and standard on the Prestige.
