If cars could dance, the 2014 Buick LaCrosse would be out on the dance floor, doing the Safety Dance. After receiving the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) 5-Star Safety Rating, the highest available from the program’s New Car Assessment Program, the all-new LaCrosse showcases one of the brand’s biggest goals—to protect.

“Safety is one of the pillars of the Buick brand and our flagship continues to echo this essential element to our customers,” said Jeff Yanssens, chief engineer of the LaCrosse. “Not only do we offer advanced safety technologies in the 2014 LaCrosse, but we designed and engineered the core of the car to perform well with respect to crash safety.”

With standard advanced technology and safety features that utilize both cameras and radar, there’s no surprise that NHTSA found the LaCrosse to be top-notch in safety. The full-size sedan has one of the most wide-ranging collection of safety technologies in its class, ranging from the Safety Alert Seat, which vibrates to indicate the direction of a potential accident threat, to Lane Change Alert, which warns drivers when a car in another lane is within 230 feet of their car. In addition to this, the 2014 Buick LaCrosse also has OnStar, which offers both emergency service and IntelliLink mobile apps.

All this safety technology would make anyone feel safe. Do you agree? Share your thoughts below!
