2014 Chevy Silverado's Pick-Up BoxThere is a perception that the majority of people who own trucks never actually use them to haul anything.  If that’s true, then Chevy owners must be the exception.  According to the Detroit automaker, two out of three truck owners use their pickups for everyday hauling, so when Chevy designed the 2014 Silverado, they wanted to make that as easy as possible.  Enter the Silverado’s pick-up box.

“Silverado owners are the doers of the world,” said Lloyd Biermann, Silverado marketing manager, in a press release.  “Our goal when designing the Silverado’s pickup box was to create something that was stronger, more durable and versatile to help our owners get their toughest jobs done.”

Chevy has loaded the 2014 Silverado’s pick-up box with a ton a features to make loading and hauling easier, including LED box lights, EZ Lift and Lower tailgate, CornerStep bumper, hand grip pockets and removable upper tie-down hooks.

“The whole point of having a pickup is about solving problems, not creating them,” said Mark Williams of PickupTrucks.com. “Every time we get into a new Silverado and fill the bed with payload, we’re reminded just how much thought their truck engineers put into, what we believe is, the most important part of a pickup – the bed.”
