2014 Chevy Spark Overview
There aren’t many big changes for the 2014 Chevy Spark with the exception of a new continuously variable transmission (CVT) replacing the previous standard four-speed automatic, allowing for reduced engine noise and increase fuel economy and acceleration.

When the 2014 Spark is out on the road, it’s hard not to notice it. With a unique silhouette that is slightly reminiscent of a hamster and tons of funky colors like Lemonade and Salsa to choose from, the subcompact practically screams fun. The body, which is pretty big considering it’s one of the smallest cars available in the U.S., is sculpted into a simple, clean design that is perfect for the urban dwellers.

Every 2014 Spark comes with a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 84 horsepower, which isn’t the highest hp ever, but it’s enough to make driving the car fun. A CVT comes optional on all trim levels, while a five-speed manual transmission is standard.

With an EPA-estimated 34 mpg combined, the 2014 Chevy Spark is perfect for any person making a daily commute through city streets.

For the 2014 model year, the Chevy Spark adds a bit of flair to a simple, modern interior with a color-accented dash and door panels. Trim pieces that look a bit more high-end than expected add a classy feel to the cabin, while motorcycle-like gauges make the dash very pleasing visually. While it’s not available in every trim level, the available MyLink touchscreen adds even more modern vibe with sharp graphics making it easy to use. With any subcompact car, you shouldn’t expect a lot of room in the backseat and the 2014 Spark isn’t any exception, though the seats are so comfortable, even long drives are pleasant for everyone.

Safety in the 2014 Spark is ensured with standard four-wheel antilock brakes,;hill-hold assist; stability and traction control; and front side, rear side, full-length side curtain, and front-seat knee airbags. A six-month subscription of OnStar also comes standard with all of the glorious assistance the program provides.
