2014 COPO Camaro Program

Satisfying at last the anticipation in NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock competitors across the country, Chevrolet has officially announced the details of the 2014 COPO Camaro Program.  Just like in the previous two years of the program, those competitors looking for an edge will need to act fast, as Chevy has only built 69 of high-performing race cars.

The 2014 COPO Camaro will be powered by the buyer’s choice of two engines: a 427-cubic-inch, 7.0-liter V8 or a 350-cubic-inch, 5.7-liter V8.  Purchasing one, however, will not be as easy as walking into your local Chevy dealer.  Potential customers must sign up for the COPO Camaro mailing, at chevroletperformance.com, for more details on the ultra-limited edition Camaro that will run around $92,000.

“The COPO is helping sportsman racers around the country put the Chevrolet bowtie in the winner’s circle and the 2014 cars will be even more competitive with the new engines,” said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of performance vehicles and motorsports, in a press release. “But the only way to get one of the new race cars is get your name on the COPO mailing list at chevroletperformance.com.”

Each 2014 COPO Camaro is hand-built and flaunts custom front and rear fascias, as well as other unique styling cues.   Only one of the vehicles produced in the 2014 COPO Camaro Program will flaunt the Ice Blue Metallic exterior paint and it will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson’s annual January event, with the proceeds benefiting the Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans.

Does the COPO top the list as your favorite of the 2014 Camaro lineup?
