2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible Overview
What’s New for the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible
The 2014 Stingray Convertible is just another available body option for the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray.
2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible Exterior
There isn’t much exterior difference between the Stingray Coupe and the Stingray Convertible, since both share the same muscular, sculpted lines and fluid curves that make the Stingray pure sex. The addition of the convertible’s power-operated soft top, though, takes this sexy prowess to the extreme, creating a car that practically seduces you into driving it.
2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible Performance
A 6.2-liter V8 is the source of power for the Stingray Convertible, the same engine that powers the coupe. It churns out a powerful 455 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, a slight increase from last year’s output. A seven-speed manual comes standard, though a 6-speed paddle shift automatic is also available.
2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible Efficiency
Even with a maximum of 460 horsepower, the Stingray Convertible still manages to get an impressive 29 mpg highway.
2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible Interior
The convertible’s interior has vastly improved compared to the cabin’s of past Stingrays, with a sweeping, modern design highlighting the driver-oriented center stack. Gauges and buttons are easy to use and reach, with an 8-inch color touchscreen display keeping the driver connected at all times. As you would expect, rear room is practically non-existent, but the 2014 Stingray Convertible makes up for it with plenty of comfort in the front seats.
2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible Safety
The Stingray Corvette Convertible has antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, side-impact airbags, and a rearview camera as standard safety equipment, along with OnStar telematics system, which provides a number of emergency services to drivers.
