What’s New for the 2014 Hyundai Equus

The newly redesigned 2014 Hyundai Equus flaunts both interior and exterior enhancements, including front and rear exterior styling changes and upgraded materials and technology inside. There are also some new safety features, to include BlueLink telematics, traffic alert systems, and suspension modifications.

2014 Hyundai Equus Exterior

The 2014 Equus is a rear-wheel drive sedan and comes in 2 trim options, both capable of seating 5. On the exterior, the Equus has been given new 19-inch, turbine blade polished silver wheels, new front and rear grille designs, and standard LED fog lamps.
Other notable features are the power-folding, auto dimming mirrors; a rearview camera; front and rear parking sensors; a windshield wiper de-icer; a power-closing trunk; blind spot and rear cross-traffic alert systems; sunroof; and keyless ignition and entry.

The 2014 Equus comes standard with a 5.0-liter V8 that produces 429 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque.

The EPA estimates that the Equus gets 15 mpg city, 23 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.

Inside, the Equus is completely redesigned. The brand new ivory leather is not lost among all the new technology. You’ll notice a larger 12.3-inch LCD cluster display, climate control settings with three distinct cabin temperature zones, proximity key, smart cruise control, and dual 9.2-inch rear seat entertainment monitors.
In addition, the 2014 Equus includes a navigation system, a 17-speaker Lexicon audio system, satellite radio, HD radio, a six CD/DVD changer, and auxiliary jack which includes an iPod/USB audio interface.

The Equus comes with antilock brakes, stability and traction control, traffic monitoring and warning systems, pre-collision warning and preparation systems, front and rear side airbags, side curtain airbags, and a driver knee airbag. Bluelink telematics provides emergency roadside assistance, remote vehicle access, and stolen vehicle recovery.
