2014 Hyundai Genesis Overview

The 2014 Hyundai Genesis

What’s New for the 2014 Hyundai Genesis

The second-generation Genesis will have more technology than ever before, including full LED headlights and numerous assistance systems.

2014 Hyundai Genesis Exterior

Power and elegance come together in the 2014 Hyundai Genesis with strong lines and a muscular front end creating an almost authoritative presence out on the road. There is a bit of conservative styling at hand, but there’s no denying that the 2014 Genesis can play with the ultra-luxurious Lexus and Mercedes-Benz brands—especially with the lower price tag.

2014 Hyundai Genesis Performance

The 2014 Genesis offers the choice of two different engines: a 3.8-liter V6 that generates 333 horsepower and 291 ft-lb of torque, which comes standard, or the available 5.0-liter high-performance Tau® V8 that pounds out 429 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. With this kind of power, there’s no doubt that people are going to be seeing a lot of the Genesis’s taillights.

2014 Hyundai Genesis Efficiency

With the amount of power generated by the two powertrain options, it’s not too much of a surprise that the fuel economy for the 2014 Genesis isn’t the greatest. The 3.8-liter gets an EPA-estimated 18 mpg city and 27 mpg highway, while the 5.0-liter is a bit lower with 15 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.

2014 Hyundai Genesis Interior

When you first enter the 2014 Genesis’s interior, there’s no denying that its high quality puts it on par with a lot of the premium brands. Heated, leather-covered front seats and tons of room in the back for passengers make it an extremely comfortable space, while the dashboard is simple, yet elegant with an easy to use layout.

2014 Hyundai Genesis Safety

An ultra-high-strength unibody, eight airbags, a traction control system, and antilock brakes combine to create a car worthy of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 5-Star Overall Safety Rating.
