The revolutionary three-door hatchback puts one door on the driver side and two on the passenger side for practicality, and the Veloster’s standard 17-inch alloy wheels and LED running lights combine with bold front fascia to deliver an imposing on-road presence.

Drivers have the choice between two engines to power the 2014 Hyundai Veloster. The base is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder that produces 138 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, but we imagine most will opt for the available 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that pumps out 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.

Despite our bias toward the turbocharged engine, the base four-cylinder does boast the impressive fuel economy of 28 mpg city and 37 mpg highway, but the turbo 1.6-liter is no slouch either at 24 mpg city and 35 mpg highway.
