For this hybrid powertrain, a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine comes together with a pair of electric motor/generators and a nickel-metal hydride battery pack to churn out 134 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard, along with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).

Lexus’ Safety Connect telematics system is also standard, providing automatic collision notification, stolen-vehicle location, and emergency assistance.
