The new 2014 Lincoln MKS

What’s New for the 2014 Lincoln MKS

The 2014 Lincoln MKS features the same style as the 2013 model, but boasts a bevy of new color options, new standard rear-view camera, and a $2,000 lower starting MSRP.

2014 Lincoln MKS Exterior

As with all 2014 Lincoln models, the MKS boasts a split-wing front grille that spans the width of the vehicle’s front end. The MKS’s contoured hood and body lines are smooth and subtle, while the presence of twin tailpipes exudes a sense of strength. Available in full-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and EcoBoost trims, the 2014 MKS comes standard on 19” alloy wheels in the case of the former two and on 20” wheels in the case of the latter. The MKS comes available in Platinum Dune, Dark Side, Ruby Red, Kodiak Brown, Smoked Quartz, Ingot Silver, Tuxedo Black, and White Platinum colors.

2014 Lincoln MKS Performance

The 2014 Lincoln MKS gives drivers the choice between two different V6 engines: a base 3.7-liter V6 available in FWD or AWD, or a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with two turbochargers on an AWD platform. The 3.7-liter V6 creates 304 horsepower and 279 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.5-liter EcoBoost creates 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. Edmunds tested the EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 at a zero to 60 time of 5.8 seconds.

2014 Lincoln MKS Efficiency

The 2014 Lincoln MKS, when equipped with the base 3.7-liter V6 and in a front-wheel-drive configuration, achieves 19 mpg city/28 mpg highway/22 mpg combined; in an AWD configuration, the 3.7-liter V6 can get upwards of 18 mpg city/26 mpg highway/21 mpg combined. The MKS EcoBoost model has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway/20 mpg combined.

2014 Lincoln MKS Interior

The 2014 Lincoln MKS boasts a luxurious interior with an ample amount of room. The MKS has standard seating for five, more than enough leg and head room for your passengers, and a spacious trunk capacity of 18.7 cubic feet. Heated and cooled leather seats come standard, as does the buttonless MyLincoln Touch interface. While futuristic and useful, the touchscreen interface takes some getting used to. Interior materials are of good quality, and an abundance of available options and features enhance the sense of luxury.

2014 Lincoln MKS Safety

The 2014 Lincoln MKS comes standard with stability and traction control, antilock brakes, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, side curtain and front-seat side airbags, and MyKey (this feature allows parents to set speed parameters in the event that they let their children borrow the car for any occasion). Available safety features include Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, Collision Mitigation with Adaptive Cruise-Control, Lane Keeping System, and Active Park Assist.
