The new 2014 VW Beetle R-Line is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 210 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque.

The current 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that powers the 2014 Beetle returns 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway when equipped with a manual transmission. Surprisingly, the 2014 Beetle R-Line is projected to deliver better fuel economy than the current base five-cylinder engine at 24 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.
