2015 Alfa Romeo 4C: A 2015 AUTOMOBILE All-Star

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles yesterday announced that the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C was named a 2015 AUTOMOBILE All-Star by AUTOMOBILE Magazine. The award doesn’t necessarily have any requirements. The editors don’t look at numbers and statistics—they don’t even consider costs and reviews. Instead, the award is subjective, indicating the models that the editors most want to drive as true performance car enthusiasts.

“We are very honored for the all-new Alfa Romeo 4C to receive such a prestigious award as the AUTOMOBILE ‘All-Star’,” said Reid Bigland, the new head of Alfa Romeo for North America. “Each 4C represents more than 100-years of Alfa Romeo racing knowhow, including groundbreaking mid-engine Italian design and Formula 1 inspired technologies – a combination we’re excited to offer North American enthusiasts and at a fraction of the price of other carbon fiber chassis supercars.”

Before choosing the All-Star winners, the editors took out their top contenders (selected from completely new or significantly revised models) on three days of intense test drives. Then, the editors casted private ballots to select the winners.

“When you’re out on your favorite stretch of winding road or at the local track blazing away, turbo-four wailing behind your ears, the Alfa Romeo 4C reminds you what it means to drive with joy, with purpose,” explained Mike Floyd, the editor-in-chief of AUTOMOBILE. “The 4C is an unapologetic sports car and a spectacular-looking one at that—that’s why it’s a 2015 AUTOMOBILE All-Star.”
