Earlier this month, Cadillac announced that it would be dropping Rogue as its ad agency and would instead be turning to Lowe and Partners for inspiration. Rogue gained some infamy for the ELR’s controversial “Poolside” ad, which may have ultimately led to its demise. Before it got the boot, however, Rogue managed to create a 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe ad which was actually quite enjoyable. You can check out the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe ad below.
The ad, called “Irresistible,” stars British comedian, writer, and actor, Stephen Merchant, who worked on The Office (US and UK versions) and The Ricky Gervais Show, and was featured in Extras and Hall Pass. In the ad, Merchant walks down the street alongside a sleek, red Cadillac ATS Coupe, which turns heads from everyone. Unfortunately for Merchant, who is a bit deluded in the commercial, he thinks all the glances are aimed at him and not the sexy car beside him.
Let’s be honest. They’re both pretty neat to look at.
As he walks, he grows more and more cocky and even does a spin move near the end. His goofiness doesn’t take away from the sheer beauty of the ATS Coupe in this 30-second spot, however. Trust us, it looks as regal as ever.
