Although official January sales figures don’t come out until tomorrow, GM is already bragging about the 2015 Chevy Colorado’s success in Los Angeles, where more units have been sold than in any other city to date.

Partially thanks to that big boost from the City of Angels, the Colorado has now surpassed the Nissan Frontier to become the second best-selling midsize truck on the market (number one is still the Toyota Tacoma).

“LA was a big target for the Colorado, where people can use the utility of a pickup, but don’t necessarily have the space for a full-sized truck,” said Tony Johnson, the Colorado’s marketing manager. “The in-roads we’ve made there are proof that it is the right fit for that market.”

More good news for the bowtie brand: Over 40% of Colorado buyers are trading in non-GM vehicles. Also, the Colorado is a hit with the coveted Millennial demographic, with more than 17% of Colorado buyers being between the ages of 16 and 35. (Wait, are 16-year-olds buying brand new cars?!? Whatever happened to the good old days, when a kid’s first car was the crappy 1982 Volvo that his uncle sold him for the “sweetheart price” of $750?)

Additionally, more than two in five Colorado pickups sold are being ordered with factory-installed accessories, including Chevy’s exclusive GearOn Cargo System for carrying bikes, kayaks, and more. It seems that the Colorado’s quest to become a popular choice among young, active urbanites is shaping up nicely.
