What’s New for the 2015 Chevy Malibu

The 2015 Chevy Malibu sees a few minor updates this year, including its OnStar system that now offers 4G LTE connectivity with the ability to create an in-car WiFi network along with some improved styling.

The Malibu comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, six-speed automatic that puts out 196 hp. For even more power, Chevy offers an optional turbo engine, which gets a powerful 259 hp, and 295 lb-ft of torque.

The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with stop/start function for improved fuel economy gets an EPA estimated 25 mpg city and 36 mpg highway.

The 2015 Chevy Malibu features sophisticated technology, quality materials, and impressive interior and trunk space. Seats are comfortable and supportive, with design optimized for rear legroom. Enhanced storage has been added and rear passenger seats fold down for improved cargo space.

Chevrolet’s available MyLink infotainment system is intuitive and features a large display screen. In addition, audio and climate functions still have large, easy-to-read knobs for quick control.

When it comes to safety, the Malibu is consistently a high performer, earning Top Safety Pick status for this year and Top Safety Pick+ last year. The Malibu has also earned an overall rating of five stars in federal NCAP (New Car Assessment Programs) testing.

Rearview cameras and Bluetooth are standard on LT and LTZ trims, but unavailable on the base Malibu LS and blind-spot monitors are a new option.
