2015 Chrysler 300, Jeep Renegade Named to Ward’s 10 Best Interiors List for 2015
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) just earned a huge victory as far as vehicle interiors are concerned. On a small list that just fits 10 automobiles in total, the car company managed not one, but two spots. Both the 2015 Chrysler 300 and the 2015 Jeep Renegade were named to Ward’s 10 Best Interiors List for 2015.
It took the folks over at Ward’s two whole months to determine the winners. In total, editors at WardsAuto considered 42 vehicles that were all-new or significantly updated for 2015. Specifically, those judging were considering comfort, design aesthetics, ergonomics, fit-and-finish, information/displays, material selection, safety, and value.
“The FCA US interior design team pays meticulous attention to detail, whether it’s selecting the perfect materials and color combinations to ensuring the communication experience is intuitive and simple to use,” said Klaus Busse, Vice President of Interior Design at FCA North America. “To have the Chrysler 300 and Jeep Renegade named to Ward’s 10 Best List signifies that we have achieved our mission to offer products that go above and beyond to meet the needs of our customers.”
Busse recently gave an intriguing interview on the Jeep Renegade interior, in which he divulged, among other things, that his favorite foods are Moqueca and Bulgogi.
For the 2015 Jeep Renegade, it was roominess, comfort, and ergonomics that impressed the judges, but the beautiful design cues that blew the editors away. They call the Renegade the “Cherokee’s badass little brother.”
As for the 2015 Chrysler 300, it was the abundance of features, the quilted leather trim, and patterned upholstery that got it the nod; editors were also impressed with how practical the interior is.
