2015 Corvette Stingray VIN 001 to be Auctioned for Charity

In just a few days, the Mandalay Bay Event Center will be hosting the 2014 Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas charity auction. One of the most exciting vehicles hitting the auction block this year is the 2015 Corvette Stingray VIN 001, as in the very first retail production Stingray for the upcoming model year.

According to Corvette Blogger, the 2015 Corvette Stingray VIN 001 uses the ‘Vette’s all-new eight-speed automatic transmission, paired to a supercharged engine good for 650 horsepower. At least, that’s what Barrett-Jackson says, but Chevy reportedly maintains that the model is just a 3LT Z51 Stingray Automatic. The Corvette will be Arctic White with an Adrenaline Red interior.

The Corvette will be auctioned at approximately 6pm on September 26.

All proceeds will benefit CARE House of Oakland County.

Earlier this year, Rick Hendrick bought the first 2015 Corvette Z06 Stingray at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Collector Car Auction.
