The Dodge Brand recently announced that the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat VIN0001 (yup, the one and only) will be auctioned off next month at the Barret-Jackson Las Vegas 2014 auction, to be held from September 25 – 27 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.

The very first Challenger SRT Hellcat will bear the Viper-exclusive Stryker Red exterior paint (and will be hand-painted, of course). Other enhancements for the VIN0001 Hellcat include specific VIN documentation, special badging, and unique memorabilia. That memorabilia includes a HEMI-painted presentation box that includes a VIN0001 electronic vehicle build book and video documentary; also included is vehicle footage, still shots, a signed SRT Hellcat lithograph, an authentic Challenger SRT Hellcat embossed Laguna Leather iPad sleeve, and a “birth certificate” for VIN0001.

The all-new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat VIN0001 is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V8 engine, good for a quarter-mile time of 10.8 seconds (at 126 mph) and 707 horsepower, making the Hellcat the fastest and most powerful muscle car on the planet.

“The 2015 Challenger Hellcat is already guaranteed to be one of the hottest cars that will roll through the Barrett-Jackson auction lanes in decades to come,” stated Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO, Dodge and SRT Brands, Chrysler Group LLC. “The VIN 0001 being auctioned this year is the ultimate one-of-one collectible 2015 Dodge Challenger, as Dodge is ensuring there will never be another one like it.”

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the not-for-profit Opportunity Village organization in Las Vegas.

“We are so unbelievably thankful for the support of Dodge and Barrett-Jackson,” said Linda Smith, Associate Executive Director, Opportunity Village. “We are touched by their amazing generosity and support of our mission here to support individuals with disabilities by giving them the chance to lead independent and fulfilling lives.”
