The 2015 Cadillac Escalade with Bose® Centerpoint® Surround Sound System

Last week, Cadillac announced that its 2015 Escalade would be getting an audiophile’s dream come true: the Bose® Centerpoint® surround sound system, which the automaker is touting as the most advanced Bose system to find its way inside a Caddy. Audio sophistication has reached new heights with this system, which was customized specifically for the next rendition of the Escalade.

“Bose’s expertise is in perfect alignment with Cadillac’s progressive integration of advanced technology,” said Uwe Ellinghaus, Cadillac Chief Marketing Officer. “With the standard all-new Bose audio system in the Escalade, we continue to elevate the level of luxury offered to our customers.”

So what is so special about the Bose® Centerpoint® surround sound system for the 2015 Escalade? For starters, Cadillac strategically placed 16 speakers throughout the luxury SUV to generate what it calls “a concert-like experience throughout the cabin,” which is perfect if you never got to see the Beatles live: now you can just attend a Beatles concert in your own Escalade. (Okay, so maybe it’s not the same.)

Specifically, Cadillac has placed five custom-tuned speakers across the front doors and instrument panel. Two tweeters are featured in each rear door and in each mirror patch. In addition, the luxury automaker included 2.5-inch Twiddler® speakers in each of the D-pillars, a 5.25-inch Richbass® woofer under the front-center console and 5.25-inch speakers in each of the rear doors, and, finally, 6×9-inch woofers in the front doors.

The sound system is all about the technology, too. Bose Centerpoint 2.0 signal processing technology is included in the cabin; this tech serves to take the surround sound experience to each row. (The perfect time to introduce your toddler in the back to Pearl Jam? Yes.) SurroundStage® signal processing circuitry is also included, compensating for any off-center seating so that each passenger gets the full surround sound experience.

Cadillac believes that the sound system fits perfectly with the elegance of both the Escalade’s exterior and interior.

And the best part? The Bose® Centerpoint® surround sound system is standard on all trims of the 2015 Escalade. Huzzah—this calls for a celebration. Hit it, boys!
