It’s time to configurate yourself up a 2015 Ford F-150, ladies and gentlemen. Ford’s fed its hungry public just about every tiny detail it can about the all-new pickup truck—right down to the seamless sliding rear window. With a few short months remaining before its eventual release, it’s high time that Ford release the 2015 F-150 configurator so that we can start rolling up our sleeves and building our best theoretical beauty.
From the jump, you can pick from the XL, XLT, LARIAT, King Ranch®, and Platinum trims. Since money is no object in the 2015 F-150 configurator, we’ll be going for the high score in each and every instance.
Depending on the model you pick and the available options, you can select your cab style (Regular Cab, Super Cab, and SuperCrew®), box size (5.5 feet, 6.5 feet, and 8 feet), engine (3.5-liter V6, 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost®, and 5.0-liter V8), and transmission (the six-speed automatic is the only option).
From there, you can add equipment such as the Trailer Tow Package or Max Trailer Tow Package, Fx4 Off-Road Package, Technology Package (includes the 360-degree Camera and Lane-Keeping Systems), or the 701A Equipment Group (includes Technology Package, Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support, and Tailgate Step).
Exterior options include BLIS®, spray-in bedliner, box side steps, BoxLink™, extended range fuel tank, twin panel moonroof, and the choice between three different rear axle ratios.
Interior options include Active Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning, all-weather rubber floor mats, rearview camera, navigation, and integrated trailer brake controller.
For a maxed out 2015 F-150 Platinum in White Platinum and featuring all the trimmings, you’re looking at a $62,780 truck (including destination charges). Not bad by a sight.
