Regardless of the trim level you choose, a 3.5-liter V6 engine powers the 2015 Ford Flex, churning out a healthy 287 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque. The Flex Limited also has the option of a 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine that produces a heftier 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque and is paired exclusively with all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. All Flex models come with standard front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic, though the SEL and Limited trim levels offer an optional all-wheel drive.

The front-wheel-drive model has an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency of 20 mpg combined with 18 city/25 highway and the all-wheel-drive models offer a slightly lower 19 mpg combined with 17 city/23 highway.
