The expressive HID headlamps and LED taillights emphasize that feeling. 2015 Ford Taurus Performance

The 2015 Ford Taurus offers three engines, starting with a standard 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 producing 288 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque. Customers who desire V8-like power but V6 economy can opt for the available 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, which generates a whopping 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. A smaller 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline-4 is also optional for even better fuel efficiency and totally acceptable power—about 240 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque.

2015 Ford Taurus Efficiency

The 2015 Ford Taurus’ standard V6 uses variable valve overlap to net you 19 mpg city/29 mpg highway and 23 combined. The more powerful EcoBoost V6 uses direct injection and turbocharging to achieve 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined. The highest fuel economy numbers, however, come from the four-cylinder EcoBoost, which uses all of the above technologies to return an impressive 22 mpg city/32 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined.
