A new mid-range option has been added to the 2015 Honda Civic trims, called the Honda Civic SE (Special Edition). It will be slotted in between the base Civic LX and the Civic EX and will arrive at dealerships this fall with a $20,780 price tag.

The Civic SE adds to the base LX sedan 15-inch alloy wheels with black inserts, Honda’s 7-inch touchscreen Display Audio with LaneWatch technology, automatic climate control, and a six-speaker audio system, at a cost of $700 more (although Honda claims it’s a difference of $1,100 worth of features).

As in 2014, hands-free Bluetooth, a Pandora-capable four-speaker sound system, a rearview camera, and 15-inch steel wheels come standard with all 2015 Honda Civic models.

The most expensive Civic model is the top-tier EX-L sedan with Navigation, which has an MSRP of $25,130. Honda has yet to reveal the pricing for the sportier Honda Civic Si, or the more efficient Civic Natural Gas and Hybrid models.

The fuel economy for the SE (which is only available as a sedan) is the same as the other CVT-equipped models, getting 30 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway for a combined rating of 33 mpg. 2015 Honda Civics that come with a five-speed manual see their mileage drop to 28/26/31 mpg in city/highway/combined ratings.
