What’s New for the 2015 Honda Civic Sedan?

There isn’t much change between the 2014 and 2015 Honda Civic Sedan. Other than a relatively insignificant price increase, the 2015 model has a new SE trim level. The new trim includes Continuously Variable Transmission, Honda’s LaneWatch, smart keyless access, push button start, automatic climate control, touchscreen, more audio speakers, and 15 inch alloy wheels.

The Honda Civic Sedan exterior doesn’t look much different than last year’s model. The EX-L sedan sits on 17 inch alloy wheels and the Smart Entry feature allows you to lock and unlock your doors simply by having the remote near them. Just in case someone parks too close, the side mirrors fold inward, allowing you a few extra inches of wiggle room. The driver’s mirror also has a wide viewing angle while on the road.

Under the hood of one of Honda’s most recognizable sedans is a 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC four cylinder engine. Capable of 143 horsepower, the Civic Sedan still earned a Partial Zero-Emission Vehicle rating thanks to the Continuously Variable Transmission that keeps the engine at the most efficient rpm level in all driving conditions. Using a Drive-by-Wire Throttle System the Civic Sedan carries smart electronics that connect the throttle to the butterfly valve. As a result, engine response is set to suit the driving conditions.

Known for its fuel efficiency, the 2015 Civic Sedan doesn’t disappoint. With the Continuously Variable Transmission you’re looking at an EPA-estimated 33 mpg combined, perfect for city or highway driving. Eco Assist will help you change your driving habits to be more fuel efficient in the long term as well. Bars on either side of the speedometer change from blue to green depending on your driving. More green means better fuel efficiency.

The Civic Sedan’s interior can seat four comfortably and is chock full of technology. A 7 inch touch screen sits on the center of the dash. Above the steering wheel is the Intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-Mid) that keeps the vehicle’s information at road level. With a Rearview Camera and Honda LaneWatch, you’ll never have to worry about being caught off-guard. For music lovers, there’s Pandora Compatibility and a USB Audio Interface for your listening pleasure. Those worried about staying in touch during long drives, have no fear. The Civic Sedan comes with Bluetooth HandsFreeLink that enables you to talk without taking your eyes off the road and SMS Text Messaging that types for you. Don’t worry about reaching either for the radio either. Steering Wheel-Mounted Controls are a finger-length away.
