2015 Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid Coupe Goes On Sale
The new 2015 Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid Coupe goes on sale today, carrying with it a starting Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price of $20,145.
For that base price, the CR-Z’s 1.5-liter VTEC engine and Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) electric motor will be paired with a short-throw six-speed transmission. That combination nets the driver 31 mpg in the city, 38 mpg on the highway, and 34 mpg combined.
For an additional $650, Honda customers can swap out the manual transmission for a sport-tuned continuously variable transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters, which improves the hybrid’s mileage to 36/39/37 mpg in city/highway/combined driving. The hybrid powertrain’s combined peak output is 130 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque.
All 2015 Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid Coupes are equipped with standard Bluetooth, rearview camera, an Expanded View Driver’s Mirror, automatic climate control, power windows and door locks, cruise control, remote entry, and an AM/FM/CD/USB audio system complete with six speakers.
The optional Honda Performance Development package upgrades the coupe’s performance capabilities by adding front brake, sport suspension and exhaust kits, limited-slip differential, clutch, 18-inch alloy wheels and spoilers.
The CR-Z Sport Hybrid features four different EX trim levels, the most expensive grade being the CR-V EX CVT, which comes with a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price of $24,140, as well as the CVT transmission and built-in navigation.
