2015 Infiniti Q70 Named TOP SAFETY PICK+
The 2015 Infiniti Q70 has been named a TOP SAFETY PICK+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) thanks to ratings of “good” in the all five phases of crash testing and a score of “basic” in the front crash prevention category for models equipped with the optional Technology Package.
“Infiniti is very pleased that the Q70 performed well in the small overlap protection test earning it the prestigious 2014 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award,” said Infiniti Americas Vice President, Michael Bartsch. “Infiniti has worked hard to incorporate technology into all of its vehicles that not only make the driving experience more dynamic, but also help make driving safer for both the driver and passengers. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s recognition of these efforts only serves to bolster our commitment to be leaders in this field.”
2015 Infiniti Q70 Named TOP SAFETY PICK+
In order to be named a TOP SAFETY PICK, the 2015 Q70 had to score ratings of “good” in the moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraint crash tests while also pulling an “acceptable” or better rating in the small overlap front test. To earn the extra “+,” the vehicle would have to earn at least a “basic” rating for front crash prevention technology.
The 2015 Infiniti Q70 aced all five phases of testing with scores of “good,” exhibiting a low risk of injury for driver and passenger alike in the event of a crash, and managing a “basic” front crash prevention rating when equipped with the optional Technology Package that includes Forward Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning. The score also applies to the 2014 model year version of the Q70 and the 2013 Infiniti M.
New safety technologies available for the 2015 Q70 include Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Around View® Monitor, Backup Collision Intervention®, Forward Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Protection, and Blind Spot Warning and Blind Spot Intervention.
