While the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcats may be commanding media attention, the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is still going to be an important model for Chrysler Group in the coming year. The new model sees a number of updates to better position the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT in the marketplace.

For example, the 2015 Grand Cherokee SRT gets an Active Noise Cancelling system, standard, for a quieter ride. (Gearheads, don’t worry, you can still hear the growl of the V8 from within the cabin.)

The Grand Cherokee SRT also makes some power gains, though slight. Both horsepower and torque increase by 5 over the outgoing model, at 475 hp and 470 lb-ft from the 6.4-liter V8 (matched with the eight-speed automatic). Despite the increase in power, however, its 0 to 60 sprint remains the same (4.8 seconds) as does its tow rating (7,200 lbs).

In terms of appearance, the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT adds a Red Vapor package for an additional $3,995. The package will be available exclusively on three exterior colors—Bright White Clear Coat, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat, and Redline Red Pearl Clear Coat—and adds black badging. In addition, black pieces replace some of the upper and lower grille trim, the engine gets a dark red cover, and the wheels are swapped out for 20-inchers in black chrome. The Red Vapor package also adds a backlit SRT logo on the steering wheel and light black chrome and red accents throughout the interior.
