2015 Jeep Renegade Fuel Economy

Official 2015 Jeep Renegade fuel economy numbers are in: 22/31/25 mpg

We’re still waiting for the brand new 2015 Jeep Renegade to start arriving in dealerships very soon, but in the time being, we’ve been getting bits of information trickling in. Just last month, Jeep announced its pricing structure for the all-new small SUV, and now the EPA has confirmed the 2015 Jeep Renegade’s fuel economy at 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway for a combined rating of 25 mpg.

These ratings apply to the 4×2 model, powered by the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and paired with a nine-speed automatic gearbox. We’re still waiting on numbers for 4×4 variants, as well as Renegades powered by the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mated to the six-speed manual transmission.

How does this compare to competitors with the same configurations? Quite well, considering the engine. Competitors like the Honda HR-V (25 mpg city), Nissan Juke (28 mpg city), and Chevy Trax (26 mpg city) may net a fuel extra miles per gallon, but in true Jeep fashion, the Renegade offers a more potent engine than is offered in these competitors, good for 180 horsepower.

The base Renegade Sport 4×2 starts at just $17,995 (sans destination), though the price can climb up to $26,795 plus destination (Limited 4×4). The Trailhawk variant should retail for $25,995.
