What’s New for the 2015 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid

The 2015 Lincoln MKZ sees a change of standard and optional equipment. Most obvious, automatic headlights, rear parking sensors and a rear view camera are now standard.

The newest MKZ boasts a unique and modern look, a departure from the Ford Fusion resemblance of years past. The four-door sedan’s sleek style includes a sweeping roof-line, LED lighting, and bold lines that make the MKZ more attractive than ever.

Buyers can choose from the standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a more powerful V6 or the incredibly fuel-efficient MKZ Hybrid, which is the same price as the standard turbocharged engine. The base turbocharged 2.0-liter puts out an impressive 240 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, while the powerful V6 produces 300 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque, and even the hybrid puts out a total of 188 hp.

The 2015 Lincoln MKZ earns fuel ratings of 22 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined with the AWD drive model, and 22 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined with the FWD, making it competitive in its class. The MKZ Hybrid returns 37 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 38 mpg combined.

The Lincoln MKZ boasts a luxurious interior. The craftsmanship is impressive, with plenty of attention to detail. Soft-touch and high quality materials are used throughout, and modern technology blends seamlessly into the car’s classic design. Even base models feature leather upholstery, heated seats, and a touch-screen interface.

Standard safety features include anti-lock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front side-impact airbags, front knee airbags, side curtain airbags, a rear view camera, rear parking sensors, and MyKey system – which allows parents to set speed and volume control limits for their teen drivers.

Optional safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, a lane-departure warning system, a lane-keeping assist system, a forward-collision warning system with brake priming, and inflatable rear seat belts.

The MKZ earned the maximum overall rating of five-stars in government crash testing, and similarly earned a top score of “Good” in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s tests.
