What’s New for the 2015 Mazda6

The 2015 Mazda6 carries over everything you loved about the previous model, but now offers a new option package for the Touring trim and a full set of one-touch up/down power windows for all trims.

2015 Mazda6 Exterior

The 2015 Mazda6 is a breath of fresh air among the safe, conservative designs of typical midsize sedans. Its voluptuous curves and pretty face make it an instant eye-catcher, and the long hood, muscular haunches, and bold front end turn it into a must-buy contender. Despite this, it features the finely sculpted lines and proportions necessary to help it look less like a fun toy and more like a well-balanced and almost luxurious car.

2015 Mazda6 Performance

The 2015 Mazda6 offers only one engine: a Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 184 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. The innovative Skyactiv six-speed transmission (either manual or automatic) are lightweight and efficient. The automatic in particular uses torque-converter and dual-clutch technology to deliver impressively quick shifts.

2015 Mazda6 Efficiency

Thanks to the aforementioned efficient transmission and a radical 13:1 compression ratio, the 2015 Mazda6 delivers exceptional fuel economy given its performance. You can expect 29 mpg combined (25 city/37 highway) with the manual and 30 mpg combined (26/38) with the automatic. If you opt for the i-Eloop feature on the Grand Touring trim, those numbers bump up to a very impressive 32 mpg combined (28 city/40 highway).

2015 Mazda6 Interior

The 2015 Mazda6’s interior is possibly one of the most upscale in the segment, and not just because of the material quality and fit and finish. The design is clean and functional, the sweeping dash is especially attractive, and the interior space almost defies physics. Rear passengers have enough headroom and legroom to be comfortable no matter how tall and there’s somehow still plenty of luggage space to spare.

2015 Mazda6 Safety

The 2015 Mazda6 comes standard with antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and active front head restraints. It has received the top overall rating of five stars in government crash tests and includes blind-spot and rear cross-traffic monitoring on the Touring and Grand Touring trims.
