High fashion and luxury cars: two types of products that both have a tendency to be marketed with really super-duper-serious advertisements. So Mercedes deserves major props for choosing to promote 2015 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin (#MBFWB) with a promo video that parodies that particular over-the-top aesthetic. Take a look:

The video (which debuted on Style.com) was written and directed by Danny Sangra, and it stars Justin O’Shea (buying director for the luxury fashion e-commerce website MyTheresa), who makes an impressive acting debut as a hilariously over-dramatic “fashionisto.” His character can’t even turn down the intensity when going to the grocery store to pick up some milk. We also love his knack for uttering meaningless pretentious phrases, like the titular “fistful of wolves,” which sounds like the best Sergio Leone movie that never was.

By the way, that incredible gullwinged car he’s driving is a super-duper-seriously rare 1970 Mercedes-Benz C111 experimental prototype. It’s a vehicle that, in some cases, set records back in the day by hitting close to 200 mph on the Nardo test track (remember, we’re talking about a model that’s four decades old). Although we never realized it until now, it’s also the perfect ride for a heavily tattooed Australian hipster who wants to make a dramatic entrance at the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin… right after he has some cake.
