2015 Navigator

It may be easy to overlook with all of the hoopla surrounding the white-hot 2015 MKC, but Lincoln will be rolling out its newly-redesigned 2015 Navigator from their Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville very soon. Hitting dealerships across the country sometime in the coming months, the new Navigator boasts both interior and exterior refinements, a powerful new engine, and the luxurious new Reserve Package in a model that Lincoln touts as vastly superior to its predecessor.

“The 2015 Lincoln Navigator provides many upgrades over the outgoing model, offering customers – whether loyal Navigator owners or drivers new to the brand – new and compelling reasons to consider driving a Navigator,” said Matt VanDyke, director, global Lincoln.

The 2015 Navigator starts out at $62,475, and pricing goes as high as $72,900 for the Reserve Package 4×4 model. It will offer a number of available interior and exterior upgrades and will be sold in two different wheelbase lengths (119 inches and 131 inches). The Reserve Package offers amenities such as leather-wrapped instrument panel, armrests, and gear shift; premium leather on all three rows of seats; 22” polished aluminum wheels; and the all-new Ziricote wood trim.

The 2015 Navigator will be offered with the all-new 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine, which generates 380 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This will enable the new Navigator, when properly equipped, to deliver best-in-class towing of 9,000 lbs and a max payload of 1,570 lbs.

Lincoln also notes that the addition of standard electric power-assisted steering will make the 2015 Navigator the best-handling version ever made. Lincoln Drive Control will offer continuously controlled damping for a more comfortable and responsive ride.

“With the addition of EPAS and CCD to Navigator’s class-leading independent rear suspension, along with EcoBoost power and a strong brake system, the Navigator is surprisingly nimble for such a large vehicle,” said David Cantrell, assistant chief program engineer.
