Yesterday evening at the Chicago Auto Show, Motorweek awarded the all-new 2015 Nissan Murano with its Drivers’ Choice Award for the Small Utility class.

The Drivers’ Choice Awards have been going on annually for the past 34 years and are among the top honors in the auto industry. John Davis, host of Motorweek, said, “The Murano is not your typical suburban hauler. It mixes great practicality, with high style, at an affordable price, like no other utility. It’s a combination that we think consumers will find impossible to ignore.”

The 2015 Nissan Murano has just been redesigned with new looks and the latest Nissan technology including those NASA-inspired Zero Gravity seats and available NissanConnectSM with Navigation and Mobile Apps system. The new Murano is powered by a 3.5-liter, 260 horsepower V6 engine that also gets better fuel-efficiency than the previous generation at 21 city and 28 highway miles per gallon.

The new Murano also has new active safety features available with Moving Object Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Emergency Braking, and more.

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance also recognized the 2015 Murano with a Best Value Award this year. This well-balanced mix of modern looks, innovative technology, and improved performance undoubtedly contributed to the 2015 Murano taking the Drivers Choice Award for small utility vehicles this year.
